A valued member of our Marina Attendants team, Christopher Kareklas, talks about his five years working on the sea
What is one memorable moment that stands out to you from your time at Limassol Marina?
My first boat show was one of the first memories I have of my time at the Marina and it was one of the most exciting events I ever got to experience.
What have you learned from working at Limassol Marina that you didn’t know before?
I have learned the importance of customer service. I had no idea about the yachting industry and I learned a lot about this brand new industry for Cyprus.
How do you feel about Limassol Marina reaching this 10-year milestone?
I feel a deep sense of pride. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Limassol Marina, and it’s exciting to see how far we have come over these last 10 years.
What are you most proud of as you look back at the last ten years?
I’m proud of the strong community we have built among crew, boat owners and staff, and the special relationships we have fostered, both within our team and with our customers.
What does Limassol Marina mean to you personally?
It is a place of growth and opportunity for me, personally. It’s where I developed my skills and became who I am today.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
I enjoy working with my team, as we all have a great relationship with each other, but also the opportunity to meet people from different countries and different cultures.
What emotions do you feel when you see the changes and growth over the years at Limassol Marina?
I feel excitement to see how the Marina has grown and evolved over the years, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s to come.

Unique.
What do you think people feel when they visit Limassol Marina?
I feel like people come here to escape, and they feel welcome in a space that is both luxurious and friendly, and also relaxing.
What do you find most special about Limassol Marina?
The professionalism of our team, and how deeply we care for our customers’ well-being. And of course, our fantastic view!
What does a typical day look like for you at Limassol Marina?
Certainly, every day is different, but an average day for Marina attendants includes specific activities. For example, we greet customers, assist with docking and refueling, check to make sure all facilities are clean and well-maintained, and deal with our customers’ requests – this could be anything from dock assistance to buggy requests.
What are your memories of your first yacht arrival?
I was excited, and I could feel the excitement of everyone around us. It wasn’t a superyacht, but it was definitely impressive.
Do you remember your first superyacht arrival?
It was a very proud moment, and certainly an impressive one.
Do you have any community stories to share?
Not one story in particular, but it’s always a pleasure to see customers return year after a year. It’s a testament that we are doing something right, for people to feel like they are at home here at Limassol Marina.
